Gas Leakage is Detected in 10 Minutes, or three times within One Hour (Greater than 5 Seconds Each Time)

Solution for error code Er:40

IMPORTANT: If you smell gas, STOP! Follow the instructions on page 2, this manual, and call a qualified service technician or the fuel gas utility.

Press the Power button to clear the Error Code.
If Error happens again:

- Check the water heater cover. Ensure it is secure.
- Check gas connections for leakage with a soapy solution. Fix any leaks.
- Check condition of the burner assembly.
- If the problem persists, replace the main control.
